Multimedia in Sport – Sport and Show Arena „Spodek”

We completed the last stage of installations in the Sport and Show Arena “Spodek” in Katowice.

TRIAS proved once again that they are a true expert on multimedia in sport.
As a part of the project we installed two enormous LED walls and two scoreboards.

Outdoor screen

LED screen MorisLED, of the surface of nearly 100 square metres, in RGB technology, visual resolution of 25 mm is situated in front of the main entrance to the Arena.
It is installed in a panoramic layout, on a specially designed free-standing construction.

The screen is controlled from a small studio situated inside the building. We also added the option of automatic brightness adjustment – depending on weather conditions – which significantly influences cutting costs connected with energy consumption.

The installed control devices:

Digital Signage system – it enables management of the displayed content,
additional scalers – they enable scaling and connecting devices of various image transfer standards.

Indoor screen

LED Screen HiLED, of nearly 90 square metres of surface, in SMD technology, resolution 18 mm is suspended on a specially designed construction placed under the dome of the Sports Arena.
Cylinder-shaped screen, of 7.4 m diameter, is hung on eight synchronized hoists. They enable the screen to be set on various levels, as well as its smooth adjustment during the event!

The screen has the function of brightness adjustment depending on application.

The installed control devices:

4-output Digital Signage system – it enables management of the displayed content,
Image processor Vista Spyder gives unlimited possibilities of image management: smooth image transitions, possibility to divide the screen into several areas, image selection from several sources, graphic interface for management, touch screen which makes it easier to control adjusted presets.

Scoreboards

TRIAS also installed a scoreboard system and 24-second boards. They are controlled from the referee booth, situated in the sports field and from an audio-video studio.
